Strategic Growth Plan

Building a stronger future for healthcare in our region.

Understanding Community Health Needs

Understanding our community’s health is crucial for future planning, funding priorities, leveraging existing strengths, and fostering collaboration.

Our Assessment Process

Millinocket Regional Hospital (MRH), as part of the Maine Shared Health Needs Assessment Planning Process Collaborative, completes its community health needs assessment every two years. MRH uses this data to develop a strategic plan that addresses the most significant unmet health needs in the Katahdin Region.

Statewide Collaboration for Better Health

As part of a broader goal to measurably improve the health and well-being of residents, Maine’s four largest healthcare systems—Central Maine HealthCare, Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems (EMHS), MaineGeneral Health, and MaineHealth—along with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, lead this process to assess the health needs of residents across the state.
